![]() The lab recently received a National Science Foundation Award under the Partnership to Advance Conservation Science and Practice (PACSP) program. Our study will focus on improving the efficacy of incompatible insect technique to suppress avian malaria vectors in Hawaiian forests to conserve remaining populations of Hawaiian Honeycreepers. The lab has partnered with researchers at the USGS Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center and avian conservation practitioners at the Kaua‘i Forest Bird Recovery Program.
